Kristin Fisher will join CNN in 2021. She will be the Space and Defense Correspondent. In that role, she covers everything from NASA and the recently created Space Force, to commercial companies in space and the rise to space tourism. Kristin was the daughter of NASA astronauts and an enthusiastic space lover, grew up immersed in the industry. She spent five years working as the White House correspondent for FOX News covering space policy under the Biden and Trump Administrations. She also covered the 2020 presidential campaign as well as the efforts of two administrations to fight the coronavirus. Former president Donald Trump traveled to Afghanistan on a highly-restricted trip. Kristin was a fixture in the regional news market of Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, as well as Washington, D.C. for nearly a decade before becoming a part of the CBS network. Kristin was the recipient of an Emmy Award in Washington, D.C. for her work as an CBS affiliate's single-man reporter. Utilizing her expertise behind the camera, Kristin created Field Mouse Films in 2014, which specialized in making documentary-style films for clients of corporate nature, including Uber and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin earned a bachelors in Science in journalism from Boston University. She currently lives in Washington, D.C. with her husband, and their three-year old daughter.
